So let them obey Me and believe in Me, so that they may be led aright. I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me (without any mediator or intercessor). You are vulnerable, you lower your guard before Him, humble yourself and basically you pour out your heart to Him all the while knowing that He knows what you are going through, what and who you are, more than anyone, more than your ownself!Īnd when My slaves ask you (O Muhammad SAW) concerning Me, then (answer them), I am indeed near (to them by My Knowledge). While making dua you are in an intimate conversation with your Creator. One of the ways of getting closer to Allah swt is through dua. When you make dua to Allah swt, whether in times of need or just as such, you are manifesting your incessant need for Him. This sole reason should suffice not to abandon making dua.Ĥ. The beauty of making dua is that you are on one hand asking Allah swt to fulfill your needs and on the other hand, even before the dua is realized, you are already being rewarded for obeying Allah’s command. Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “My Lord has commanded uprightness and dedication ˹to Him alone˺ in worship, calling upon Him with sincere devotion. “Call upon Me, I will respond to you.” (Ghafir 40:60) Allah swt says in Surah Ghafir, verse 60. When you are making dua, you are not only asking Allah swt to fulfill your needs but also obeying Him at the same time. Making Dua is an Act of Obedience to Allah swt The more you rely on duaa, the more you rely on Allah swt, the more your imaan increases.ģ. When you make dua invoking Him with the best of His Names and Attributes you are acknowledging that those attributes belong to Him and Him alone. For making dua you have to acknowledge that Allah swt exists, that He swt is the only one who deserves to be asked and worshipped. The Prophet said: “There is nothing more honorable with Allah than supplication.” Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3370ĭua is a clear indication of one’s Iman. In one hadith it has been described as the essence of the worship and even though the hadith is graded as weak (da’if) the fact that dua is considered as worship has a sound chain of narration and is an authentic hadith. Of all the acts of worship, dua has been considered as the most noble acts of worship. Dua is the Most Noble of all Acts in the Sight of Allah Today we will discuss the benefits and virtues of dua, which are many but for today’s post we will focus on ten only.Īn-Nu’man bin Bashir (RA) reported: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Du’a (supplication) is worship.” (He then recited) “And your Lord said: Call on Me, I will answer you”. Infact it is one of the noblest forms of worship. We have already established that Dua is an act of worship.
